Mercer Goes Red: Driving Awareness for Heart Health!

February wasn’t just the month of love this year at Mercer Transportation – it was also American Heart Month, and boy, did we wear our hearts on our sleeves! Literally. 🚚❤️

Did you know that heart disease is still the leading cause of death in the US, accounting for about 1 in every 4 deaths? Yep, those stats hit hard, but here at Mercer, we’re all about taking action. So, when it came time to raise awareness for American Heart Month, we didn’t just sit back and watch the days go by – we rolled up our sleeves and donned our best red attire!

The Mercer family showed up in style to show our support for heart health. But it wasn’t just about making a fashion statement – although we did look pretty snazzy, if we do say so ourselves. By donning red, we were sending a powerful message about the importance of heart health.

Heart disease affects millions of Americans each year, and the numbers are staggering. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 655,000 Americans die from heart disease each year – that’s one person every 36 seconds. It’s a sobering reality, but one that we’re committed to changing.

That’s why initiatives like American Heart Month are so important. By raising awareness and encouraging folks to take care of their tickers, we can make a real difference in the fight against heart disease.
