Swing into Action: Mercer Transportation’s Putting Challenge for a Cause!
At Mercer Transportation, we’re not just about hitting the road; we’re also about hitting the “green” for a good cause! Last week, we teed off a fantastic initiative to support the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, and boy, did we roll in some birdies!
Our company-wide putting challenge was a swinging success! Staff from all corners of our operation gathered during lunchtime to putt their hearts out and raise money for our nation’s heroes. With each putt, we didn’t just aim for the hole; we aimed to make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country with valor.
The rules were simple: employees donated money for the chance to putt, and for every successful putt, they earned a shot at winning half a day off. Talk about a hole-in-one incentive! 🏆
Despite some hilarious swings with our right-handed clubs (sorry to our lefties out there!), everyone brought their A-game and had a blast. Laughter filled the air as balls rolled left, right, and sometimes even backwards! But through it all, the spirit of camaraderie and support shone bright.
Of course, no Mercer event would be complete without some refreshments. We kept our participants cool and refreshed with Arnold Palmers, the perfect blend of lemonade and iced tea to keep everyone hydrated and energized for the challenge ahead.
But beyond the fun and games, our commitment to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund runs deep. Mercer Transportation has long been a proud supporter of this incredible charity, recognizing the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women. Many of our own employees, at various levels of our operation, are veterans themselves, and their dedication to our company mirrors their dedication to our country.
So, to all our veterans: thank you for your service. Your bravery and selflessness inspire us every day, and we are honored to have some of you as part of the Mercer family.
